Hebrews 11:Divine Encouragement and Confirmation for Refurbished Homes by Refurbished People!

Divine Message Received at Lindsay Outreach Ministry

Has a pastor ever veered unexplicably into a totally different text when you were at a service? This is what happened when we dropped into Lindsay Outreach Ministry.
Here is a brief synopsis of the message.

Hebrews 11- 13 When God Gives a Mission He Doesn't Change His Mind

I was just going to pop in,  to pick up my jacket from Ruth Anne M at Lindsay Outreach Ministry before the service but got delayed, and the service had already started.
"Oh no," I thought,"How am I going to get the lasagna made for supper and stay for the Saturday service?"
[When will I learn that God's timing is perfect?]
When the praise portion of the service ended, Pastor Marion went to the pulpit Bible in hand.
"I don't know why I'm doing this , she shared, frantically flipping through her Bible, "I had something totally different prepared, but the Lord's telling me to speak on Hebrews. Here it is, Hebrews 11-13."
As Pastor Marion, shared what was being put into her heart about Hebrews 11-13, phrase after phrase seemed addressed to me.
Have you read Hebrews 11?
Hebrews 11 deals with the missions God has historically given people throughout time to act on in faith: Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Moses, Rahab, and many more.
Pastor Marion shares Important Message
Pastor Marion said,  "God is showing me there is something really important beginning, not here in this Outreach, but something very important."
Pastor Marion continued:
"Sometimes I hear people on Monday say "God told me to do such and such", then a few days later they say "God told me to stop doing such and such." Our God is a God of order. He is not fickle. When God gives you a mission, He does not change His mind.
While you are attempting to carry out God's mission it will not be easy. Sometimes your own relatives will stand against you. A scene from the movie Noah comes to mind: Noah is calling "Shem ! Shem! More Pitch Shem!" When Shem doesn't answer, Noah lowers himself and steps right into ... a bucket of pitch! Then no one is around to help him get the bucket off his foot. While you are answering God's call everything will not always fall perfectly into place. Keep moving toward the goal in faith."
Hebrews 12 deals with the many hardships that may occur while you are working to advance the vision placed on your life. We need to endure such hardships as discipline. For we are not true sons and daughters without our Heavenly Father disciplining us. this certainly lined up with the dream I was to have where Jesus was angry with me, AND  all the craziness that has happened  since.
Are you facing trials?
Will you continue to praise God throughout your trials?
Hebrews 13,  reminds us of the importance of showing hospitality and loving one another as Christ loved us. Even when all we have is a smidgen of flour and oil we can show hospitality. Just as the widow showed hospitality to Elijah in 1Kings 17:10-24.
Hebrews 13 - the concluding remarks and benediction, assures us of God being with us through everything. I can attest to the truth in this - at the times when things seem exceedingly bleak,
God shows Himself to me through Divine appointments and signs.
Have you been given a mission?
Watch for the miracles of encouragement that are happening in your life each day, and stay the course steadfastly with your eyes on the goal.
This passage from Hebrews 13 is especially encouraging to me.
Perhaps it will encourage you too.
Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, 21equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

P.S. When I opened the package of lasagna noodles it only needed 20 minutes in the oven, rather than the traditional 2 hours. The lasagna was done right on time for our guest! God's timing was perfect in more ways than one!
