Scriptures:Zechariah 12, Luke 11:15-32
Too often, we forget we are brothers and sisters of Christ and our brother is the Son, not only of Our Heavenly Father, but He grew up as the earthly surrogate son of a Jewish couple from Galilee. Our Brother lived the life of a devout Jew. He taught in the synagogue. He observed the shabbat and Our Father's appointed feasts.
Since my dream about Jews exercising their religion, something has been tugging at my heart.
We MUST Connect with Our Jewish Heritage to get the whole picture!
Today, I've had hints of the importance of learning about our Jewish Heritage scattered along my path. This post has three items from my day each connected to this theme whispering to my heart.

Contemplating - Healing Music~

Healing Music - Biblical Healing Connections! 

Scripture: 1Samuel 16:15-23
David, perhaps is the historical figure most associated in my mind with music.
Whom do you associate with music?
There are hundreds of psalms attributed to David, and many scriptures refer to David playing music and dancing before the Lord.
Some biblical scholars have it greatly impressed in their hearts to examine the role of music in ministry, and in particular the connection between healing and music.

God - His Plot Twist Saved My Life!

The Bible is full of God turning evil intentions around. This post has some examples of Biblical examples of evil turned to good and my Praise Report.
How many Godly plot twists can you name?

Do you love stories with unexpected endings?
I believe God is the ultimate plot twist master author.

Biblical Plot Twist Examples

The first plot twist that springs to my mind is the story of Joseph.

Do you remember what happened to him?

Joseph's brothers were so jealous of him, that they were going to murder him, but instead they first threw him in a pit, then a slave trader came along and they sold Joseph into slavery.

Did Joseph abandon his morals?

No!

However, he was imprisoned unjustly after adhering to his principles.

He helped people, and they forgot him, but finally, when God's timing was right, Joseph was given an opportunity to use his God given gifts and became second only to the King. This placed him in the position to save his family from starvation.

After his father died his brothers were afraid that Joseph would exact revenge for what they had done to him.

Joseph's reply?

What you meant for evil God turned to good.

Another memorable plot twist is in the book of Esther. Here the evil villian of the story gets his nasty plans turned back on himself.instead of the Jews being massacred, their number increases.

The ultimate plot twist?

Scribes and Pharisees,influenced by Satan, plotted to kill Jesus and end His teaching.. It was through Christ's execution and resurrection that many of them, including Paul became followers of  Christ. They sought to extinguish one life but Christ's resurrection saved many lives have been saved through   the centuries.

My Plot Twist Praise Report!

Praise report? Yup!

The doctor said they think they got all the cancer and there was just a small amount Of first stage uterine cancer, so I will only have to have 6 month check ups for the next 3 years then check ups once a year.
NO CHEMO! 

The doctor said, "You're taking this news really well"

I said it was a real miracle it was found so early.
The ultrasound staff two weeks before had said it is a silent killer and not usually found until it is fourth stage.
The doctor agreed that it was a miracle for it to be found so early.
 I then asked if she'd also done a bladder repair.
Why?
'Cause I'm not having the leaking with coughing sneezing problem anymore. That was how they': found the thickening of the wall
 Nope
- she only did the bilateral uferectomy & hysterectomy.
Wow, I guess God gave me the leaking problem so the cancer could be found then removed the problem after she took the cancer out!
"Maybe,"- she agreed adding  "He works in mysterious ways "

Supernatural Provision Brings This Blog to You!

Praise God! He Provided Internet!
Jesus says in the Bible :
You have not because you ask not."
Is there something you need?
This post is brought to you via God's provision from my bed.
Here is this miracle of provision.

After God preserved my life again by allowing doctors to find the uterine cancer at stage one and remove it so I would not need chemo, I  could not get out of bed for weeks.
Our phone is graciously provided by Cameron Community Church in exchange for doing their Web work and social media.
Without access to the internet, we were in danger of losing our phone.
I called the local ISP providers and found out the cost.
Well,  it would be cheaper to pay for a phone line and we didn't even have wiggle room in the budget for that.
"Lord," I said, "If it is Your Will that we have Internet service so I can continue to do the Web work for Cameron Community Church, you are going to need to provide the funds!"
A few days later, I called the bank to see which payments had come out of our bank account, and had a shock.
Quickly I called the gas company.
"Did you make an error on the amount you took out for our gas bill?" I asked breathlessly.
"No, 9% of our customers had their equal billing for natural gas reduced, and you are part of that group!"
Our gas bill had been $254 a month.
Our new bill?
$151 a month.
God had provided the funds for the Internet!
We would be able to fulfill our obligations to keep our phone.
Praise God!

We'd been looking for a budget-friendly mattress for my daughter for several weeks. Then, the other night, the airbed my daughter had been sleeping on really developed serious problems - a baffle blew making a huge hump in the middle of the bed!
Oh no! How were we going to be able to meet this new expense?

God has promised "I will never leave you nor forsake you." This post has a mini miracle we received yesterday that reinforced God's love though a difficult time.

Pakistan has been in the news continually with horrific reports of attacks on education. Children massacred. Women beaten for wanting an education. An expectant Christian couple burned alive. What can be done to help? For Revivalist George Jenkins, these horrific reports have underscored the importance of showing love to the people of Pakistan. George, a former British soldier, and former inmate, will be the keynote speaker at the weekly Omemee Christian Outreach dinner. where he will share information about the importance of loving Pakistan.
Disclosure: I received an advance copy of George Jenkins' book as a gift when our family was going through a very dark time. I also was blessed with the opportunity to hear George Jenkins speak, and experiencing a miracle at two events. Does this affect my opinion? Hmm.. would it affect yours?
When I think of the division between God's people that is being fanned into fury by evil, it brings to mind how Satan has used the sin of pride to fan flames of anger between God's people in the past. In particular between Sarai and Hagar.

Love Lifted Me - And My Stuff!

The day before I received Christ into my heart and was born anew, I'd received a very troubling phone call - all my belongings in storage were about to be sold. To rescue our family heirlooms and furniture I needed to arrive at 9am Monday morning with the funds to pay the overdue storage fees, and a means of removing my items from storage.
How I ended up going from earning $76,000 a year to no income and no vehicle, is a story for another time. This post is about an amazing way God showed His Love for our family in a very unusual and tangible way.
